First off let me say
I am an Agnostic, not an atheist or Ignostic, Monotheist or plytheist. Nor am I an Apathian, Henothiest, Duelist, or
Omiest! Basically for those that don’t
know My belief is that you can’t know about the unknown! It’s not that I don’t
believe in God, I just don’t know if he or she is real and therefore I
basically am taking a sit and weight stance.
Now as a firm
Agnostic it gives me great pleasure to sit and watch my Monotheist friends, be
they Christian, Jew, Muslim or what have you fight about who is right…basically
they are saying “my guess is much better than your guess”, or more
appropriately “I believe in something different than you and have no proof…but
Im right and you are wrong”! Hell people
blow other people up based on believing what a bunch of books written in the
dark ages are telling them to do…or rather their interpretation of what that
book is saying.
Before I go on let me
say that I have read a bit of the old bible, the new bible, the Koran and
studied world religion in University, so while I am not an expert by any
means…I kind of get the swing of it…and I know that there is no such thing as a
peaceful religion that says “No killing” and everyone follows it…hell even the
Buddhists are killing Muslims in the far east!...and they were told not to do
that by the big fat guy (Gross generalization of Buddha aside…he did kinda say
not to kill). There is no perfect religion because man is…well a single allele
away from swinging in the trees and throwing poop at each other. Lets face it,
as far as we have gone…we still hold onto some pretty horrible habits, like
rape, murder and genocide.
One friend of mine on
line told me that being Agnostic was a cop out, it was a way of not ‘picking
sides’. He told me to stop picking on Christians and saying that they are
wrong. Let me get one thing straight
here, I am not picking on anyone….I am battling images and songs, greetings and
such that say “believe in Christ” this time of year and it is when the Agnostic
in me is the strongest. I don’t believe in Christ, I have to much proof that
says that he was nothing but a man…and maybe did not even exist! I also Don’t
believe that Muhammod was a visionary profit…he was a horrible human being that
created a “holy” reason for attacking Mecca and killing people while looting.
And lets face it, the Jews are pretty much doing everything in their power to
uproot and kill the people who lived in Isreal before them…not a very nice
“chosen people” if you ask me.
Gods name, or
Jesus/Muhammad’s if you want, has being used by humans since the beginning of
their existence as reasons to kill, rape, blow shit up and destroy whole groups
of people. Religion in general is like the Greek God Juno…two faced and
confusing. On one hand any and all religions basically says live a peaceful
life, honor your parents and pray to the divinity of choice…and Kill the MOFO
that does not believe in the same thing as you, they are less human than you and
you can basically do what you want to them and your God will look down on you
and smile while patting you on your murderous little head! This is why I am
Agnostic by the way. I would prefer to make love and not war, enjoy each
other’s company and unique points of view and not have to worry about you
wanting to kill me or my family.
SO, the reason for
the blog, Its Christmas/Channuka season and this means those of us living in a
predominantly Jewdayo Christen country is about to be inundated with Christmas themed
assaults to our senses for a few months…and its super ironic that Christmas has
NOTHING to do with Christ! And most Christians DON’T know this, or ignore it or
give some lame ass “well its our time to celebrate him” kind of answer. Well it
may personally be your time to cherish your Christian belief but it’s not what
Christmas is about. Hell they don’t even know when Christ was born…year never
mind day! Some monk named Dionysius Exiguus, a Scythian Monk. He guessed based
on the bibles telling of who was actually the Roman Emperor at the time of his
life, problem is that the bible offers a few different views on his birth year
and who was in charge at the time….and none of these jive together! So, we
don’t know the year…what of the day….Nope! Most scholors think he was born in
November on the 18, some in September on the 11th. And most feel
that it was more than likely in the summer months not the winter...so why does
the bible describe a winter birth…It doesn’t now does it. That picture of a
baby in a snow covered Barn being born…it’s a modern creation. (sorry did not
mean to use “Creation” in a Agnostic post).
While this post is
NOT about Christmas it’s my favorite subject when shutting down overly silly
Christians that want to convert me or convince me I am going to Hell, a place
that NO ONE has ever returned from so how do they know it exists? Okay, so
Christmas started out as a pagan holiday called Saturnalia, a week long period
of lawlessness, sex, rape, killing and debauchery of Hedonistic proportions.
The celebration started Dec. 17th and went to the 25th.
During this period the Roman courts closed and law stated that no one would be
punished for damaging property or killing other people. Just to prove how
deprived they were, a community would select a person, feed them…let them have
sex or do whatever they wanted with whomever they wanted. Law of man and Gods
did not apply to them…then at the end of the week, the community killed them.
It was a weeklong orgy with no laws, no rights and no rules. Married men slept
with other men and women and the whole time the community was drunk as a skunk!
That’s Christmas’s beginnings!
Now, in the 4th
Century, after the Christians realized they needed to hook more Romans to make
this whole single God thing work out for them, they looked at Saturnalia and
absorbed it into their religion as a special time, thus trying to bring in the
Pagans to their religion. They lied to the Pagans and said that they could have
Gods good graces and be able to do saturnalia as well, just not the way they
remember it. The Christians took December 25th the wind up day as
Christ’s birthday to make the symbology of Saturnalia more Christian…then they
slowly got rid of the whole drunken debauchery, rape and eventually the human
sacrifice at the end. The kicker was that the early Christians did not do a
good job of getting rid of the whole drunken Orgy part of the festivities, so
early Christmas was marked with a bit of a Moral week off for the early
followers as well, strange fact…the Puritans banned Christmas despite the early
followers trying to tie it to Christ because of their Pure nature…to much sex
and booze for their liking I guess.
The new Christmas was
nothing like what we see today! While we shop for gifts to give to each other for
some unknown reason….please explain this to me….and while uncle Bud may take in
to many drinky-poos that day we have nothing like the early followers had. Nor
do we use Christmas as anything more than an annoying reminder that even in the
“Modern western world” we can not all seem to get along. In the old days, like
the 13th and 14th century Roman law saw Jews forced to
race through the streets after a huge feast…naked. This lead to a lot of deaths
and more puke than you can throw into a bucket! Pope Paul II was so amused by
this idea that he made it a Catholic Church lead event and he and the other
Christians would like the streets and taunt the runners and throw things at
them. Nice Eh! What a holy Douche bag!
In the 18th
and 19th Century they made a carnival out of it and Rabbis were made
to wear clownish outfits and march through the street and get pelted by poop
and rotten food. In 1881 the Christian leaders whipped the polish Christian
masses into an antiemetic frenzy and they killed huge numbers of Jews as well
as destroying property and basically being forgiven this because…well Merry
Christmas!
Hell even the
Christmas tree has NOTHING to do with Christ and is a Pagan right. The Asheira
cult, was a Pagan cult who worshiped trees in the forest. The church felt they
would make a good conversion group so they to started bringing trees in and
dressing them up. The use of Mistletoe by some Christians during Saturnalia
came from the Norse belief that one of their gods, Balder was killed by
Mistletoe. Druids also used Mistletoe, which played into the mixing of Druidic
Sacrificial cult practices and the use of Sexual licence in the practice of
saturnalia…the Druids Raped a girl to death under Mistletoe…keep that in mind
when you go in for a peck on grandmas cheek this year!
Speaking of the
Christmas symbols…the biggest of modern times…Good old Saint Nick has NOTHING
to do with Christ and most of my Christian friends acknowledge this but still
use the fairly tail without understanding its origin at all. Saint Nicholas was
an actual person, he was born in Turkey in 270 and was the most senior bishop
who convened the Council of Nicaea in 325 CE and was made a Saint in the 19th
Century. He had a direct hand in organizing and creating the New Testament and
was one of the major players in painting the Jews as the evil people that
sentenced Jesus to Death, even though its clear that Jesus was put to death by
the Romans…yes to shut up the Jews but apparently Jesus made his own list of
enemies in the Roman ruling class.
In 1087 a bunch of
sailors moved Nicks bones from Turkey to Italy were he supplanted a female
Pagan deity who used to fill children’s stockings with gifts. The new Nicholas
Cult spread north to Germany and Celtic pagans. These pagans worshiped Wooden
(oden) who had a long white beard and rode a horse through the heavens. When
Nick merged with Oden he shed his Mediterranean appearance and grew a beard,
mounted a flying horse and donned heavy winter clothing but continued to drop
off presents for kids. The Church adopted the Pagan myth and made good old Nick
work on December 25th giving out his gifts, the original date was
close….December 6th. It was
not till 1822 that poet Clement Moore
gave him Reindeer and had him wedge his fat ass through the chimney.
The rest of the
Christmas stuff all came after that. In the 1800’s and 1900’s it was refined,
good old St.Nick was drawn more than 2200 times in different clothing ext till
he was finally suited in a red large coat and showing that he needs weight
watchers more than most. And to just throw that cherry on top, Nick was based
on an artist’s friend, Haddon Sundblom of Sweeden was contracted by COCA COLA
to make an image that had Cokes bright red color suit…a insistence that they
made. Originally Santa had a variety of
colored suits, mostly green and dark colors. At that Santa was born to complete
the corruption of a Roman holiday.
Remember I asked
about gift giving….well I actually know what brought this about. In
pre-Christian Rome the emperors compelled the most despised citizens to pay
tribute to them by brining offerings to him and gifts were presented to gain
favor. This was all done during Saturnalia…or Christmas as we now know it. The
Christian Church linked the Gift giving to Saint Nicholas, as we know now was
also a Pagan gift giving tradition not even part of the original Nick Cult.
So, lets review.
December 25th…has nothing to do with Christ and had been a day of
legal torture, shaming and humiliation…and Murder of Jews by Christians…who
were not even the original Christians but rather Pagan converts. Many of the
popular “rites” of Christmas like Santa Clause, The Christmas tree, Mistletoe,
gift giving and the feast of X-Mass are Pagan rites that have been abducted
from early Romans. Christmas actually has ZERO to do with Christ. So the next
time you grab your cross and come at me with a “ITS MERRY CHRISTMAS NOT HAPPY
HOLIDAYS”…well you are wrong!
